Because my faith compels me to participate
in the political decisions of our state; and

Because I recognize that God’s concern is never
fully represented in a single political party or candidate;
I PLEDGE to ensure that all political points of view are respected in my congregation and to vote with respect to my faith;
But I demand those seeking public office respect my faith by:
Neither soliciting, nor accepting, the endorsement or direct political support of houses of worship; and
Refusing to associate with organizations that exploit faith for political gain.
